Havana Club 7-Year Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and aged in charred white oak barrels for seven years.
Havana Club rum is still made in Cuba - where the company was founded by José Arechabala in 1878 and then nationalized in 1959 after the Cuban Revolution. Havana Club is now jointly owned by Pernod Ricard and the Cuban government.

A shame to spoil it but she loves it like a hot toddy with lemon green tea, :)
На удивление, хуже anejo especial. В аромате жжёный сахар и немного дерева,
благородный и приятный. А вкуса почти нет, очень странно. Немного сладости и что-то
неопределённое в послевкусии, но ничего особенного, разочаровывает.
Surprisingly worse than Anejo Especial. Nice and rich aroma with caramel and some wood but strangely weak taste, some sweetness and smth vague in the aftertaste, and that's it - nothing special and a bit disappointing.
The most aromatic Havana in their core range. I use it as standard for my cocktails, it gives them a really good taste of rum.
A great balance between flavor and price. Great for hose over pour mixers that let the rum jump above and work with the cola flavors. My go for this cocktail with health dashes of lime juice.
Smooth rum. Heerlijk van genoten in Spanje. Zachte afdronk
Tento rum z dielne Havana Club je základným rumom, ktorý je fajn ochutnat. Nepatri medzi špeciálne rumy. Cítiť v ňom náznak tabaku a sladsieho ovocia. Pre mňa vhodný skôr do dobrych miešanych drinkov,prípadne s limetkou a ľadom.
Could give it a 5 but it's a nice entry cheap rum anyone can buy and that's a plus for me. What really holds me off is its leather and tobacco notes. If you do like em, could give it a 7 maybe 8. It's smooth and has a nice oaky finish but not as complex as i like em.
This is a stable mass produced rum. Can be drank on its own or good with coke.
You can still taste the difference to low cost rums but it is not an experience I want to repeat. Might be good for Cuba Libre but not for enjoying itself.
Havana Club Añejo 7 Años has a dazzling and clear mahogany colour...

'caramel, cane sugar, and a bit of cinnamon character in the finish'

Their is a creamy/buttery vanilla like smell oak, dry tobacco and smokiness.
"It’s very hot, spicy and very bitter. Luckily the burn isn’t bad and very short. Subsequent sips are much smoother."
