This is a good rum. It starts out with a rich pineapple sugar flavor and branches out into some really nice fruity facets. Strong alcohol overtones. Honestly I get more bang for my buck with Stiggins or with Plantation 5 year.
Plantation have become a bit of my favorite brand but this was a bit of a let down. There is nothing wrong with this rum but there is also nothing great with it, the only thing that comes in mind when I think of it is average. Not bad but not good.
My Trinidad was 2008 edition but I suppose it the same. Looking very good - the net, the bottle, the box, the labels and so on. They claim it is the ten years old rum tropical agening with one year of continental one. But I can't to recognize it. It was pretty hard to specify it as 10 years rum but it sill drinkable ))

First Plantation rum in my life, I think this could be a solid 7 if it didn't bore me so much. The rum is nice, the smell is a little bit alcoholic but in the mouth it explodes with a lot of fruits. And that is the reason is why I gave it a 6: the fruity taste is too much sweet and it bore a little bit. I also suspect some sugar has been added, but I don't have proof. In the end it's a well done rum, better than a lot of crappy rums, but again not too much fan of this fruity thing, also too much sugar. Not convinced
As said by others with more talent than me “ Pineapple chunks, golden syrup and grassy sugar cane. Clove and cardamom spice“
Too much taste of alcohol, there are some vanilla, lemon and other flavours. But I will not look for another bottle.
En stark genomträngande spritsmak med antydan vanilj citrus
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Just want to put it in my cabinet so there is nothing more to add. A good rum.
