The James Gosling family business first produced Gosling Black Seal rum in 1806, and it is now the oldest surviving business on the island of Burmuda.
Gosling 'Black Seal' rum received it's name from the black wax originally used to seal the bottles. It is Bermuda's most widely exported product and considered the nation's national drink.

Overly sweet on its own, but pretty tasty in a dark n stormy!
I bought it for the glass. This rum and ginger beer combo is very tasty. The rum by itself has a tang the more I let it linger before swallowing.
Quite nice. Try it. Tasty spirit and not too sweet.
There’s a reason why they patented the name Dark n Stormy here. There’s no need for another rum in there
Not bad but not particularly intriguing. Would probably get again. Semi sweet, lingering Blackberry after taste. Oh and its inexpensive.
A little bit of a burn, but not too bad. A hint of smoked vanilla.
The perfect black rum for cocktails. Contrary to popular belief this rum is delicious standing alone as well. Will always have this on my bar cart from now on. EDIT: thought this was the best black rum out there until I tried Hamilton 86 Demerara. Maybe we'll call this second best.
Smooth, but a different flavor than I prefer. Great value though 17.99
Great for the price point and awesome in cocktails! Cannot complain about this and the cute seal on the label too!
'well balanced and nuanced with butterscotch, vanilla and caramel'
"Goslings Black Seal rum review by The Ultimate Rum Guide"
The nose is very pungent. Heavy thick treacly molasses and sweet caramel.
"It’s initially sweet like liquorice, there is a little heat and spice in the mix and the finish is long and slightly bitter."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Little to much caramel and not the best one for sure... drinkable but not to have its place in my cabinet
