Banana, pineapple and full of life. The scents from the glass. The first sip was was gentle in the mouth and warming on the throat. A good rum for after dinner.
The very nice bottle sets high expectations regarding the content. Once opened there is not too much nose, however definitely a cuban rum. The taste is sweet with alcoholic notes and some afterburn. Not too sweet and not much layers in the taste. A decent sipping rum. Not more, not less…
Ganska len i smaken med lagom mycket eftersmak.
Behaglig doft och jag upplevde inte att den var så söt som många andra sorter.
Bottle purchased in Brussels. Pours dark gold in color. Aroma of treacle and sugar cookies right out of the oven. Thick as a brick! The flavor is just about Everything that can produce sweetness. I’m thinking that this is as close to a Demerara rum that Cuba gets. I don’t care what they’ve added to this, I love it. Now leave me alone with My Precious.
The best rum so far. I have bought it accidently 3 years ago and now, after 10 bottles, still have not enough. How can anyone say this rum is sweet?
I enjoy this rom, tasty and nice colour. I will buy it again.
A 40% blend of Cuban rums aged 7-15 years, what is futher aged for 3 months in sweet sauteners wine casks.
Bottle: Classic one with cork cap.
Colour: Honey gold.
Nose: Honey, citrus, ginger, sweet white wine, apple pie and oak.
Flavour: Quite smooth with a slight burn on the palate and in the throat. It is slightly sweetish, but a rather drier and spicy flavour prevails. Unfortunately the taste is a bit flatter without depth. The palate has raisins, caramel, honey, ginger, cocoa and toasted wood.
Finish: Rather short.
Summary: It's definitely a good, but only slightly above average rum without a distinct memorable flavour.
Rating: 6.5/10

I enjoyed this rum. Nice taste of fruits and I found a nice finish note of cognac maybe due to the maturing in wine cask. Good quality for the price.
