Classic Dominican rum states aged up to 15 years. This is one of the better Dominican rums I have had in a while. Not much on the initial nose, but first sip is mildly sweet lingering to a subtle heat on the tongue finishing with long lasting oak and vanilla. On sale for 34.99 and I never tried it before. I would say well bought could easily be a daily sipper like Eldorado 12, Abuelo 12, Appleton 12.
Sapore deciso e ottimo aroma molto piacevole al palato
Great classic rum with its special original notes.
Absolutely smooth, strict 40°. Easy on nose and there are fontaine of vanilla, notes of chocolate, dried exotic fruits on palate.
Long enough after taste.
I wish to have it as every day drink (;hey dealers - reduce the price, pliz;)
Dokonalá tmavá 15tka z Dominikánské Republiky, láhev mi opravdu velmi chutnala a další láhev doma bych s radostí uvítal. Velmi vyvážený mírně nasládlý rum s elegantní chutí.
Picked this up at total wine for $35. The bottle is interesting with a twist off lid instead of a cork. At first pour, the flavor is a bit hot and sweet at the end. After about 5 minutes the flavor profile drastically changes. It has a sweeter flavor and less burn. There is a presence of oak as well. With another swirl of the glass, there is a hint of leather taste pulling through. There are other warm flavors such as almonds or walnuts. It does round out and provides a smooth finish. Definitely recommend to try at least once.
This is a very good rum, a little more on the sweet site but still very good
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Relicario is a nice, smooth, uncomplicated Dominican rum that sits similar to Kirk & Sweeney in general character, and around the price point of the 18 year expression of that blender. It has a similarly gentle, light citrus and floral noise.
Upon sipping however (this is smooth enough that I recommend it neat unless you want to cut the sweetness), it's a bit different. This is sweetened to a greater extent than K&S, and I wouldn't blame purists who dislike the practice if it turned them off. For my money however, this is a delightful desserty sipper that I like to let linger on my tongue for a time before swallowing.
It is certainly not a complex creation, but it is reasonably aged and reasonably priced. It is also contained in a very attractive bottle to boot. Certainly a re-purchase for me.
