Appleton Estate 21-Year rum

Appleton Estate 21-Year

Jamaica | Aged

Distilled using small-batch copper pot stills uniquely designed for Appleton Estate, this rum is a blend of several rums aged 21 years in American oak barrels. Once blended, the rum is re-casked for two years to marry the flavors.

Appleton Estate 21-year rum is produced in Jamaica on one of the country’s oldest and most renowned sugar estates. Each bottle is individually numbered and comes with a signed aging certificate by master blender Joy Spence.

Smooth and not to sweet initially. Really enjoyed the aged oak aftertaste.

certainly worth a drink, but have others I prefer, maybe I am a Plantation addict :-)

Fantastically smooth with a strong sweet aftertaste. My number one choice

Citrus (orange peel), spice and woody (oak) notes. It is a smooth rum with a long after taste. Slightly sweet. Recommended for those of us who don’t like a sweet rum.

Kdysi velké nadšení, dnes mi přijde slabá voltáž, jemný až vodový

This is my first time trying this rum.
Rich and smooth - full bodied.

Deep, golden color. It sparkles in a glass. Wonderful nose, that delicious Jamaican funk, and the subtle orange underneath.
So smooth on the tongue. A tiny bite. Not too sweet. Little burn in the throat, and the taste lingers.
This is the nicest Appleton rum I've had. (Hoping I'll get a chance to try the 30, bit not prepared to pay the price yet 🙂)

You'll want another sip. And another. Then you'll need another glass. Careful opening this around your rum drinking friends, it will be gone before you know it!

It used to be better, more oaky and showing that 21 years of aging in the tropics, along with mahogany-like finesse of an old Rum, not far from best of the Cognacs. These days a bit more simple, less woody and lacking a bit of the honest character. Wish they made with as a single cask stuff - it would totally rock.

The smoothest of the attainable rums by Appleton. The grown up version of the 12.
