Kill Devil (Hunter Laing) 1991 Trinidad 23-Year

Boooooom goes the dynamite... this stuff is on fire, keep the fire extinguisher near by because you are going to need it, if it were possible the name it lives by could do just that but we all know the Devil will never die. Anyhow, this stuff is fire fire and fire. Huge nose of esters and a slight hint of dark fruits. Burns the nose, mouth stomach and everything else it touches. Add a few drops of water and it opens up and is somewhat enjoyable. Crazzy funky rum ryech there!!!

lucky to be a part of a tasting on this bottle. Loved the story on the back of the bottle but thought the 46% was a bit understated to what I was smelling and tasting. The alcohol was too forward to my liking. would like to try a different bottle with a different country or age. I find it interesting that a bottle with a price of just under $300CAN would not be better. Cant complain though as i only spent $4 on the 1/2 oz sample

I had the chance to try that pretty expensive rum. As I prefer sweet rum like Centenario, Opthimus or QRM, this one wasn't really enjoyable.
Complex taste, but nothings for me...

To me it's clearly Angostura, and not Caroni. However, it's not as tasty as other Angos I've tasted in their early-to-mid 20's. A bit heavy on the oak.
