Appleton Estate 12-Year Rum is a blend of several rums aged between 12 and 18 years in American oak barrels after being distilled using small-batch copper pot stills.
The rum is produced on the Appleton Estate, which sits in the Nassau Valley in Jamaica. The estate’s origins date back as far as 1655 when the English overthrew the Spanish to rule the island and Frances Dickinson, grandfather of the distillery’s founders, received the land as a reward for his role in the overthrow.

Il faut l avouer c est un rhum assez sympa mais malheureusement ce n est pas spécialement ma tasse de thé. Le sucre ressort bien mais trop d agrumes en bouche.
I like Appleton 12 year old. Have not tried any if their older rum. But this rum is nice, smooth. Compares with other good rum I have tried
This rum has a nice dark red-amber colour, and it's smell and taste is rich - sweet and smokey.
smooth With great flavor and a nice bite. Will be one of my fallback sippers
A interesting rum in my opinion, nose is very sweet . The taste is a rollercoster starts sweet and goes quite fast to being strong and spicy
This rum was a shocking disappointment for me. I expect much more from a 10+ year rum. When I first tried it I wanted to rum it to the shop as I thought that the original content was replaced by some cheap shit.
Easy and nice to sip, nothing what i would regret after buying this bottle.
This is a very complex rum. Plebty of smoke, vanilla, and a subtle nuttiness. Definitely a go to.
Dry, not our style. To many other rums we liked much better. A lot left in the bottle after the tasting.
i like the dense aroma of a pot still jamaican rum wothout any sweeteners (in jamaica it isnt allowed to sweeten). long pond and hampden, maybe the best in my taste. appleton is a light rum for a jamaican. but this is good. the taste isn´t overloading a beginner. it shows the high aromatic taste and smell of that kind of rum. fruity. almond. pineapple. and in the end for a good price!

The rum offers a lot of smoky spiced oak flavour.
"A nice note of cocoa and a little hint of vanilla. The rum is smooth yet spicy offering a nice kick. The finish is long and complex leaving a lot of flavour behind to savour."

Es un ron que a pesar de ser potente se hace muy agradable al paladar.
