Appleton Estate Extra 12-Year rum

Appleton Estate Extra 12-Year

Jamaica | Aged | 43% ABV

Appleton Estate 12-Year Rum is a blend of several rums aged between 12 and 18 years in American oak barrels after being distilled using small-batch copper pot stills.

The rum is produced on the Appleton Estate, which sits in the Nassau Valley in Jamaica. The estate’s origins date back as far as 1655 when the English overthrew the Spanish to rule the island and Frances Dickinson, grandfather of the distillery’s founders, received the land as a reward for his role in the overthrow.

Er lidt stærk og har en gennemtrængende alkohol smag, men ok. Dog ikke noget jeg vil bruge mere tid på.

A solid aged Jamaican rum. Pairs very well with an aged Martinique rum for a great Mai Tai.

Dobrý a kvalitný jamajský rum podľa britskej chuti co mi trochu vadilo. V chuti bolo cítiť viac alkohol ako by mi bolo pochuti preto dávam 7.

This is one that has been high on my list for a while, finally had a few at a restaurant. For me it was a bit light, I lean to the darker flavour. It was not too sweet not too much of a burn so I could say it was just about right. I can see why a lot of folks consider it a great rum for the money.

It's a good rum. Not great, not outstanding, but good.

Full body taste without being too alcolholic from a taste perspective. One of my favourites in the cabine, always good, no surprise. Excellent value for money.
