Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold

Nothing for a rum enthusiast, but still better than nothing on a college party.
Not great not terrible.... but better pour some cola in it.

I feel like Captain Morgan original is everyones first or second rum. It's nothing entirely special, nor does it carry any real complexity. It's a step above Bacardi and it goes down a hell of a lot easier. It's cheap and widely accessable. Decent for mixing but there are plenty of other mixing rums that will treat you better than the Cap.

This was my base line for some time. Bad straight, decent in mixes. Nothing special, but it hits with the burn. For an all night party with rum and coke it will cut it.

Nothing special when drinking neat but works nice enough with a mixer.

Captain Morgan is a classic and is the benchmark against which any rum in a rum & Coke should be compared. It is not drinkable straight but mixes well.

It’s just so simple. A last resort for someone on a night out wanting some consistency okay spiced rum. Nothing special.

I always have a bottle of this rul at home for making a rum cola

Does what it says on the tin, 'cheap and cheerful'. Not the worst tasting but not the best, wont break the bank.
