Definitely different than your more classic rhum agricoles from the Caribbean with a more vegetal undertone, but solid for a Ti'Punch. If you're in a bind, I'd say no problem - hence the "easily consumable in a bind." But not something I'd get again if there were other options (except the undrinkable Clément).
A comparison with the Blanc 55° Agricole in the Saga du Rhum, Saint-Pierre.
Crystal clear in the glass like the sugar cane juice spirit.
In the nose candied fruit and vanilla. Somewhat duller and less "tangy" than the Agricole, but more multidimensional.
In the palate very cheeky, caramel, vanilla, sugar cane.... the different molasses / Agricole Rhum is very good to taste.
In the finish as with the Blanc 55°, sugar cane, vanilla...
A great molasses mix Rhum for Arrange and Punch.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Not the best rhum of course but a classic cheap Rhum agricole from the French oversea department La Réunion. It is quite strong with this particuliar taste of the Rhum from this island. I personnally use it to make some rhum arrangés with fruits and honey
