Barbados | Aged | 43% ABV | Pot and Column Still
Produced in Barbados by master distiller Richard Seale, the rums in Doorly XO have been aged a minimum of 6 years before finishing in Olorosco sherry casks. The second maturation in sherry casks is rare and gives Doorly XO its unique flavour.

I liked this rum, but it does taste lighter and not as full as the 12 year old which i like a lot better and is not that much more expensive.
Thought this would be better. Has a harshness that I didn't expect about one-third of the way through and carrying into the aftertaste and beyond. Starts out with a nice hint of vanilla but immediately becomes a mishmash of unidentifiable esters. It's like a pleasant sunny day heading down to the beach but before you travel even three blocks you wind up in a car crash of twisted metal and broken glass.
Leaves kind of a bad taste in the mouth. Given the hype I wish this were better.
So, this was nothing like I'd read. Not good for sipping, at all.
After I cracked it open, let my pour breath, I took my first few sips, and was greatly disappointed.
It was flat, with no real flavor. Not nearly as tasty as the others described.
For a sipping rum, to match the price, I'd rather go with El Dorado 12y or 15y, and to take it a step up, I'd go with Diplomatico reserve.
But not this rum, not for sipping. Its just ok for mixing.
It was my first meet with rum without added sugar. I dont like at first but now it is that what I like. Good rum and low price.
I keep Doorly's XO well supplied for game nights and entertaining. It's great for sipping or mixing.
A splash of coconut water and just a drop of vanilla extract compliment this one nicely!
Kinda smokey, like rum with a pinch of scotch. Awesome all around, could use a little bit more after taste
Had a glass of this at Marley's rum bar in Blackpool, tried it neat and with Ginger ale, it was very tasty, not a massive step up from the 5 year old, these Doorly's rums are amongst the best i have ever tasted, neat it was mildly spicy with a taste of toffee, Mixed with Ginger ale, wow it was superb, not quite as good as the Chairman's spiced mixed with Ginger ale but a damn close second.I've since bought a bottle of this, and i have to say it's fine stuff indeed.
Colour, smell, nice taste, really good for shot. When I taste it first time, the flavour was much better than expected. Truly relaxing and makes me relaxed. Reasonable price and fantastic experience after a long time.
It has that distinctive light and fruity Bajan nose. .
"Itβs nicely balanced and subtle on the nose. The rum is initially quite sweet with notes of toffee, banana, a little orange and citrusy lemon/lime. The finish is long and quite spicy with a hint of oak."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
