Diplomatico is a classic !! a good choice to enter in the word of old Rum.
Sweet but not too much, tasty but not too much. Only one problem first glass ask for more :-)
A very impressive Venezualian product, super balanced, although a bittoo sweet.
Un rhum au goût et arômes excellent. J'ai testé les diplomatico dans l'ordre d'âge et quel bonheur de terminé par la reserve qui se laisse déguster simple ou avec une pierre de glace. A conseiller
It's a good rum to drink but the flavor didn't caught me as teh El dorado 12 year did. The bottle though is very nice !!
This is one of the best 12 years rum I tasted, strong vanilla in the nose but not so much when you taste it, really nice balance you always want to drink more!! Recommended
I have been wanting to try this rum since it hit the market. Found a bottle today at my local liquor store and I must say it is superb.
Sweet, but not to sweet rum. Like the caramelish toffee taste and the long lasting sweetieness. I will buy this again
This is truly the embodiment of what I love about rum: a soft, oily and smooth rum with a great variety of sweet baking tastes combined into a sublime drink. One of my favorites!
Very thick body, almost syrup-like, highly enjoyable straight or with ice to fade a bit of the sweetness.
Super smooth sipping rum but too sweet for my taste, I prefer the El Dorado 15YO in the same price range.
"The palate evokes chocolate sauce and the sweet toffee, fudge and tropical fruit flavours from the nose"
"The nose is dominated by notes of caramel, toffee and crème. On the back end of the aromas, I can detect a hint of smoke and pineapple"

Smells sweet. It is fruity, oranges, grapes and raisins with scents of chocolate and a sweet almost syrupy.
"The tasting notes on the site are very accurate vanilla, fudge/toffee sauce are noticeable as are notes of vanilla and a finish which is slightly bitter like cocoa which leaves a hit of oakiness on the taste buds. The finish is pretty short. ."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Exclusive is spot on! Good vanilla hints with fruity and spiced notes. Smooth on the throat as well as the wallet!
