Riche, complexe, de grande qualité. Vraiment excellent, et excellent rapport qualité-prix.
Rich, complex, high quality. Really excellent, and excellent quality for money.
This again is a very sweet rum... at times just a tad too sweet for me. It has a very nice scent and a decent burn. The sweetness often lures you into having another glass, it's an easy rum to drink.
It definite has some strong molasse and caramel notes, hence the sweetness. Also "default" flavours like vanilla and oak are present.
Diplomatico comes in a nice package, has a very good nose and a lovely deep brown color. In other reviews I read descriptions like "luxury" and "velvety" and those terms accurately describe the "feel" of the drink. It feels like a luxury / velvety drink.
i like this rum very much. it has a good price/quality level.
I find this mid-afternoon colour rum is a balanced, smooth entry in my cabinet. Flavor and smell are similar. A hint of vainilla, maybe a hint of toffee. Flavor is a bit timid, and feels light. Not my favorite but not a bad option either. Luke a vainilla ice cream chances are you will enjoy it, but is, well, vainilla.
The nose is very heavy bourbon vanilla. Too much for my taste. Quite one dimensional.
Taste is better. Vanilla is still there, but accompanied by sweet chocolate raisins.
Pleasant burn, but not quite my cup of tea. Will use it as a mixer.
bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla,
I have a soft spot for this one even though it is very much on the sweet side. I like it and my wife loves it.
Smooth and subtle.
Putting anything in it would be a crime, drink it neat, no ice. Wonderful!
Decently priced and 2 or 3 times the values of some of the so called premium rums.
Great amber color, smooth and crisp. Great taste easy to sip over rocks. Don't ruin this with any mix!
"The palate evokes chocolate sauce and the sweet toffee, fudge and tropical fruit flavours from the nose"
"The nose is dominated by notes of caramel, toffee and crème. On the back end of the aromas, I can detect a hint of smoke and pineapple"

Smells sweet. It is fruity, oranges, grapes and raisins with scents of chocolate and a sweet almost syrupy.
"The tasting notes on the site are very accurate vanilla, fudge/toffee sauce are noticeable as are notes of vanilla and a finish which is slightly bitter like cocoa which leaves a hit of oakiness on the taste buds. The finish is pretty short. ."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

My daughter gave this to me for my birthday today. I have been eyeing this on the shelves for quite a while but just havent taken the plunge yet. Well, let me tell you, this rum is the epitome of rums as far as I am concerned. I drink it neat and the smell in the glass does not indicate the smoothness and complex flavours you are about to enjoy. This has definitely earned a spot in my cabinet. I cant wait to share it with some close friends.
