Diplomatico Anejo is a 4-year old golden rum from Venezuela. It is the youngest of the Diplomatico rum family and is medium-bodied.

Ron añejo ideal para degustar en cocteles en especial el cuba libre tambien el que desee puede tomarlo a las rocas con un toque de soda o agua
Fruity nose (mandarine, lemon and candy banana) but the caramel aromas are overpowering all others.
Round smooth easy drinking sweet rum with medium black pepper finish.
Not much interest unless you like sweet rums
Note globale 5.8. Bien pour petits budgets ou pour debuter.
For a four-year rum this is pretty nice. Diplomatico quickly became one of my favorite brands upon trying the Reserva and the Reserva Exclusiva. This is their younger rougher-around-the-edges brother. Excellent aroma in the bottle. Somewhat sweet but not overbearing but a rather harsh burn going down the throat. Leaving an oak flavor and a tad of bitterness. It has the elements that eventually become Reserva and Reserve Exclusiva. A very good rum for the price. Works best in mixed drinks and I like it quite a lot in Coke Zero.
Arômes assez pauvres en goût avec une forte attaque en bouche et une faible longueur, une belle couleur dorée malgré ça.
Color:Very nice golden color
Nose:Very strong alcohol odeur, bit of vanilla
Body: alcohol,smoked,oak
Tail: Strong alcohol, long lasting, wood
Bottle: Dimplomatico standard, but not as great as Reserva.
Unfortunately for me this is a not-anymore rum... :( I can feel there much of alcohol taste and not much of anything else...Maybe to use in mixed drinks.
There isn't enough flavor, complexity or aroma for this rum to be enjoyed neat, but it's a worthwhile mixer, on par with, say, Bacardi 8.
In other words, it's great in a Banana Daiquiri, if you get my drift...
very alcohol taste and little sweetnes, harsh, best with cola or mixed
Rhum assez sec et fort en bouche. Pour quelques euros de plus préférer lui le reserva beaucoup plus facile à boire.
The taste straight is fairly rough,.
"Mixed with a little cola the rum is fairly similar in some respects to Chairman’s Reserve, it has some smokiness to it, it’s quite rough (a man’s drink) but not in a bad way."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
