Cruzan Gold

These easy rums just are not for me. I totally get why Cruzan and Bacardi dominate; the same reason why vodka is popular. These can be consumed on their own and won't overpower people. They also "hide" in a cocktail perfectly. However, I am looking for complexity and flavor. Thus, not my thing.

As a sipper, not much flavor or finish. I prefer spiced rum when mixing, so nothing here for me.

Excellent at the price point, doubling your spend and bigger names wont achieve much if anything better. Was genuinely surprised an easily accessible, lower end price bottle of rum as good as this. Had it strait, yet to try it as a mixer.

I enjoy this in most everything I mix it in. Not my first choice for a Mai Tai but it will work without any issues. Excellent price point. Cheers!

Very few fusel oil flavors

Not bad but quite mild in flavours and a little ethanol like. Went ok in a mixed drink

Decent rum, had it warm, need to try it chilled. Smooth, but needs a little more depth to the flavor, but if you are price conscious it is a great buy!

But I would stick to Sailor Jerry or Captain for a mixer rum.

This is fairly smooth, has a decent taste and smell and has a reasonable amount of sweetness to it. One of the better gold rums available.

Nice but simple. Very mellow nice mixer. I tried with ice and it was incredibly mild.
