Muddy River Spiced

If you find yourself in the North Carolina area, I highly recommend you get a bottle of this sweet flavorful rum.

You really can’t go wrong with this Spiced Rum. Vanilla, cinnamon and sarsaparilla make this stuff delicious. I’ve taken it into the woods with friends while backpacking and kayaking and converted many non rum drinkers. It’s also delicious when mixed with a Black and Tan (just trust me and try it).

A great sipper or a wonderful addition to any spiced rum based cocktail!

Christmas on the nose heavy vanilla a bit of clove. The texture is syrupy taste is strong vanilla with a cinnamon burn that warms the chest. Would rate higher but it’s a bit too sweet for me.

Smooth in the mouth and throat with moderate lasting finish. VERY sweet! Sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and butterscotch flavors with an oatmeal cookie finish. I don't like it with coke, maybe I'll try with ginger ale. Overall, it's just not enjoyable for me.

Went to the distillery and took the tour. There is a honest effort to produce a quality rum at Muddy River and their spiced rum shows it. The blend of spiced is well done with a smooth sweet carmel taste. Expect some great rum to come out of Muddy River. They are the oldest rum distillery in NC and show a lot of promise. For $28 a bottle you can't beat this spiced rum.

Nice color, aroma and taste with vanilla and spice overtones. Definitely worth a try
