Very soft, but no lasting flavour... not my kind of rhum

Needs to breathe a bit before sipping. Haven't tried it with a mixer but when neat it's quite strong yet complex. Plenty of aroma and flavour, although there's a hint of nail varnish. Bit of alcohol burn, subdued with a cube of ice. Appleton rums make great mojitos so I might go nuts and grab some mint from the garden.

As part of a rum board, this was my favourite of 4. Nothing truly phenomenal though.

Vilken fΓΆrvandling!

I wouldn’t call this a sipper rum but it shines in a PinΓ£ Colada. Adds a deep molasses tone and fills in the warmth. Takes you to the beachs of Jamaica. If you are looking for a 12 year sipper the Eldorado will fill that spot but when you want a tropical rum fantasy drink this is your Rum.

The rare 12 year old Appletons is smooth enough to enjoy it's fruit, wood & molasses depth straight, or mix with lime & ginger to get through the bottle in double quick time.

Nice smooth smoky flavor. Nice dark rum that pairs nicely with almost anything. I am not even a rum drinker, I do not care for it much. This is rum is truly worth its cost.

...I read that this one is for bourbon lovers...so I got nosy and wanted it...little spoiler it is and for a lot more people :)

The smell is smoky as well as fruity...in my opinion kinda apple-ish...couldn't stop sniffing the glass.

The taste kicks you with sweetness and tasting smoothness with a delightful afterburn...the residue stays on your tongue and throat for a pleasant while...

I will keep this on my bar shelf from now on...good buy for under 35 Euro!

A tasty and delightful 7.0 in my opinion...even when not too complex...
