Tried it after I got the hang for agricoles, but was kinda dissapointed. Liked the Rhum JM XO a lot better.
This is a good rum that will not really blow you away for sipping, but is very serviceable as a mixer. It has some faint grassy notes that are characteristic of an agricole and possesses no off flavors that would steer you away. I tend to keep it on hand; pairs well with a funky Jamaican rum for a mean Mai Tai.
Tasted at Laka Lono 3/27/22
notes: This is an excellent agricole. Tasted as a sample and then made into a Steph style Daiquiri, ak SotoDax.
I felt this was an excellent example of an agricole, one that I would encourage new rum enthusiasts to try so they understand the style.
Extremely smooth with sweet fruit flavors and a pleasant grass finish. I’d drink this rum anytime of the day and in any cocktail.
Little bit of heat but ok.
There’s a slight smell of whiskey barrel but it’s mild and the taste is much more subtle. It turns into a more caramel and vanilla with sugarcane, rock candy etc
This was the first rum agricol i ever tried, i must say i was surprised by it, i really liked how it tasted but just felt that it could use a bit more alcohol to make it great.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Only five percent of all rum is produced this way with the first press of the sugar cane juice used for fermentation. I feel like my rating has to be respectful of this difference. This is really good stuff. For my pallet, no trouble drinking this neat whatsoever.
Think a hint of grappa spiked with a dry drizzle of toffee or spice floating in the distance. Luckily for us, the "Three Dots and A Dash" tiki cocktail calls for rhum agricole. I would comfortably make Clement VSOP is getting spott Try Lemba brand agricole at half the price to impress at your tiki coctail party.
