A rum who’s not meant to be sipped. it’s only reserved for cooking.
Well for like 10€ or less that’s it. I can drink it on the rocks. It’s not amazing but maybe one of the best for that price
A rum who’s not meant to be sipped. it’s only reserved for cooking. Great for roasted bananas or pineapple. Bad neat and mixed with soda or juices.
One of the cheapest non-adultered rums on the market. Dry and (at least for the most part) agricole.
Bottled at an ABV of 37,5% it is not going to rock your boat but, just like the Negrita Dark, it is not without character either.
The nose is rather fruity, grassy and there is a bit of vanilla and oak in there as well. Not unpleasant but also not great. On the palate this Añejo becomes rather spicy and peppery but just like the Dark version it is a tad harsh so I guess the rum is for the most part really young. Sippable but not a great sip; it is flavourfull but not all the flavours in there are that well balanced or integrated.
The kind of rum you buy on vacation when you can't get the stuff you really want; this is cheap and decent enough but not really interesting.
Mezclado no esta mal teniendo en cuenta su precio. Pero si buscas un ron para tomar solo, no lo intentes.
Borderline undrinkable on its own, even when mixed with coke still pretty bad.
Boozy taste with off metallic notes.
Slightly vegetal grassy like Agricole notes but also has quite a strong pot still like element to it.
"It has notes of marmalade. Despite the relative rough nature of the rhum, it has a fairly nice finish. It’s quite hot but not at all sharp it certainly exits a lot more smoothly than it enters."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Rhum Negrita is an agricole styled rum distilled from fresh sugar cane juice. As a result this rum tends to be drier and more aromatic. Bright amber colour due to storage in oak barrels. The rum is quite strong and spicy. Its intense bouquet is fruity overall and with delicate vanilla notes and hints of clove pepper and cocoa. Long-lasting finish compared to other rums. In my view a very good price value ratio compared to other agricole rhums. For that reason and as I generally prefer rhum agricole I rate it with a 7. In case you prefer sweet molasse based rums you should deduct 2 grades from that level.
