This one is definitely worth snapping up.
Soothing....charred bananas with vanilla and coffee. I love it.
Wish I had some right now!
A very smooth but very dry rum that has a lot of floral notes without much funk.
Tonight's Rum: Barbancourt 15 Year Old Estate Reserve. A friend of mine brought me back a treat from a cruise in the Caribbean, This 15-year-old Rum from Haiti is very sweet on the nose with notes of honey and roses; strange for a demerara Rum. On the pallet, you're hit with a strong Allspice flavor. It's not expected. Only after a taste, do you notice an Allspice bouquet. It also slightly has bitter notes and chocolate. The finish on the throat is nice, it disappears, leaving lingering notes of cloves behind. 7 out of 10.... Thank you Donna.
A colourful box holding an average screw top bottle. It pours a medium mahogany colour. After resting, it has a nice nose with fruit and a light sweetness. Tasting gives a caramel, light fruit, mild spicey flavour with little burn. One of the better agricole rums I have tasted. My wife bought it for me in the US and after border duties, it cost over $130 Canadian.
Nice flavors that aren't overpowering. Mixed well with a splash of diet Coke.
Had a chance to try this tonight at a local watering hole. Kind of a cool funky agricole vibe to it. A bit sweet but definitely enjoyable.
This is a drier tasting rum that has just a touch of burn. For me not a supper but for some it will be with just a background of funk, no real sweetness.
As a mixer it is very smooth and that slight burn comes through as a nice effect on you tongue. Really liked it with citrus and very good with Coke.
Have not blended it but think it will be very good. Also might make a great rum old fashioned.
It is a sleeper with a screw cap but will probably make my keeper list.
Typical of a cane juice rum, this is lighter in body, and dry overall.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

This 43% ABV rum is bringing some gin-like vibes to the scene. It's quite tasty and pretty unique so far amongst the rum I've tried.
On the nose there is juniper, grass, pepper, light caramel, alcohol, licorice, grapefruit, wood and orange zest.
The palate is ginger, cream, vanilla, oak and clove.
The finish is pepper, mint, light caramel and dry.
