The majority of all the reviews are dead on...Nice sipping rum with hint of pineapple but not a overly sweet fake pineapple taste. It tastes like they dropped a few fresh pineapples in there. Enjoyed it out on the boat in the lake. Great for a summer day
The pineapple hits you right away, yet after a few sips I wanted more. they are able to pull off a fruity pineapple taste without making it so sweet that it would not be great Neat. Try it neat. Its different.
smells like fresh pinapple. Let it breath for 10-15min and the alcohol tase dissapers and the pinapple taste really shows.
It tastes like pineapple. Like, it's right there on the label and everything. So if you buy it thinking you're going to get a rum that tastes like anything except, well, pineapple, you've only got yourself to blame.
Reading through some of the other ratings here, others seem to feel that the pineapple flavor was subtle and only popped in context with other ingredients; for me, I felt like someone had just lodged a pineapple spear sideways in my nose and then gave me a glass of some decent but totally arbitrary rum to drink as a chaser.
I suppose there must be some context in which this makes sense, but to me this just reminded me of a more grown up version of the wine coolers I used to drink when I was young and foolish. The closest thing I can think of in flavor is a pineapple champagne I tried from a winery on Maui; similar to that, while it was interesting as a novelty experience, I found myself staring at the bottle once I got home from my trip and wondering how I'd ever actually use it.
I guess buy this if you really like pineapple-flavored things. But I'd rather spend my money on their over-the-top amazing Plantation Three Star or their XO 20th Anniversary instead.
En trevlig rum som är lite annorlunda, med härliga toner av ananas.
The first thing I noticed was the nose. I could smell the pineapple right away and when tasting it the pineapple was still there.
The smell is more pear than pineapple, but the taste is very smooth and a lot of different levels of taste. A must buy for me
Det var ikke lige noget for mig ananas for sig og Rom for sig
Reminiscent of Angostura 1919—flavorful for sure, but a lighter body than you might expect from the rich color. Moderately strong alcohol taste & feel, low residual sugar which is what lends the fairly light body.
The nose is sweet but not overly so.
"Smells very much of fresh pineapple as opposed to sweetened tinned pineapple."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Obviously this flavored rum is going to be sweeter then most but it's got a great natural taste to it and makes a great mixers. I've used it in pina coladas for extra pineapple flavor and it's a great sweet additive to other cocktails but you can also drink it by itself. It makes a great after dinner drink.
