Your nose is greated by Tar, rubber, wood and smoke. The palette offers classic caroni notes. It's a potent, woody round of liquid asphalt. In order to hit the sweet spot though, I'm missing a little body and perhaps some fruity notes to even out the dryness, but not bad, if your in a manly mood.
Nose: Soft, sweet, and with a variety of baked goods aromas. The arrival has coffee buns, Belgian waffles, maple syrup, and Nutella. Warm cinnamon. Only brief accents of rubber tires. Interesting notes of cajun and lemon catch up near the end.
Palate: If I had this blind, I wouldn't think it's from Caroni. I like it though! The sweetness is present but nuanced by muscovado, singed ginger, baked graham crackers, and chili flakes. To me, it has a thick body and slowly coats the mouth. The end of the development has seasoned wood and warm nuttiness.
Finish: Coffee buns returns, alongside faint dry rub and chocolate-covered donuts. Medium-length. Warm body feeling.
