Thoughts: Not often do we come across Haitian rums and being light in colour with 18 years aged we knew we were going to be baffled and we were. 57% navy strength we expected a smack in the nostrils as well as on the tongue but it didn't come probably making it dangerous! Sweet with a creamy butteriness on the nose which is deceptive to the rich aged taste, a little woody with some white pepper spiciness to it. The finish is quite long with some esters and oak on the tail. £80-100 for a 500ml bottle puts it towards the pricier end for an unknown but an unusual surprise that was a pleasure to taste.
