The Jamaican funk come though on the nose. Drinks smooth with little burn. I will be making cocktails with this one being thats what it was blended for.
Tasted at False Idol on 5-20-24. Pours clear. Aroma is chalky dessicating limestone cave. Flavor is infinitely approachable. Mild sweetness leading into a grainy finish. No residual burn. Pleasant to sip. I get guava and Sprite flavors. Canโt wait to buy some and cocktail with it.
Tried straight, as a daiquiri, and in a mojito. Has more funkiness than I expected, with a slight grassiness that reminds me of Haitian even more than Jamaican, making it more interesting straight than I expected. That aspect disappeared in a daiquiri, making it lightly sweet and floral; I don't think it will replace Probitas as my daq go-to but it was as dangerous easy to drink as the best daqs. The mojito... Well, they are always good on a warm day, and this has just the right amount of character to not completely disappear. Very good for the price.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Reminiscent of Probitas, but with a lighter, fruitier, and sweeter profile. Could definitely be sipped but best in any sugary cocktail.
