Having loved their Panama, was intrigued to try the Guyana too.
Very different (obviously, as comes from a different country, a different type of still, and a different age...), but pleasant nonetheless.
On first tasting, I was taken with it, mostly I think as it didn't taste anything like I expected it to. But I've grown to like it more over time. It has the funk of a pot still, with (as others note) a menthol/eucalyptus smell to it. Quite firey, and there's no age statement, it tastes fairly young but is still nice.
More for adding an interesting edge to a cocktail than sipping straight, but fairly priced, and as with all Mezan - untouched which is always to be applauded.
Beautiful light straw color with very pronounced menthol and pepper notes. The apple is very present but in sweted version. The finish is warm on spicy notes of cinnamon with a delicate and moderately long finish.
The actual picture (color) is not correct
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Overall the rum is plain with significant tones of cocoa. Pretty much nothing else.
