Got a sample from RumX of this very special Agricole produced by La Favorite in Martinique.
The nose is fruity, woody, sweet and a little smoky with aromas of prunes, caramel, vanilla and chocolate.
At the palate it’s super smooth and round with the aromas coming back as tastes together with licorice.
The finish is between medium and long and also super smooth and round.
Overall an Agricole that’s not giving me an impression of an AOC Agricole, but it’s an excellent rum. I believe most people should have problems to categorize it as an Agricole in a blind taste.
