La Favorite La Part de L'ange

Al naso è elegante e profumato, con frutta secca dolce (datteri, albicocche, fichi), vegetali, legno giovane, nocciole, pasticceria, agrumi.
Al palato mantiene gli stessi aromi con prevalenza vegetale (anche qualcosa di terroso) e aggiunta di pepe
Il tutto rotondo con poca profondità e corpo, un finale corto, ma delizioso.

C'est très doux en bouche, c'est très rond et a beaucoup de profondeur et un goût qui dure. Cet assemblage a néanmoins, pour moi, un petit défaut : il a un peu trop de goûts différents qui ressortent en bouche. Bref, il a un peu le goût de tout et de ce fait : plus vraiment le goût de rien.

My French isnt great and I havent the time to use a translator, but from what I can gather, this is a blend of rhums in honour of Gabriel, who is leaving La Favorite.
It is incredibly smooth.
The finish is exceptional ... for those of you who have had the privilege to taste Appleton's Joy Anniversary edition and marvelled at the length of its finish, well, this is just as long, if not longer. I haven't opened this bottle yet, but I can still remember the finish from when I sampled it at the distillery. It's like all of the good aspects of Flibuste with none of the less-good ones. If you can get your hands on one, get two. This is going to be a huge future classic. Only 5000 bottles, so it leaves me with a dilemma ... when do I open it?
