Captain Morgan Spiced Rum is made by combining yeasts, molasses, water and mash, which are then distilled in a continuous still. The rum is aged for up to 1 year followed by the addition of spices and flavors indigenous to the Caribbean Islands.
Captain Morgan Spiced is owned by Diageo and produced in Puerto Rico by the famous Destilieria Serralles, Inc. The company Captain Morgan is named after the 17th-century Welsh privateer of the Caribbean, Sir Henry Morgan was an admiral in the Royal British Navy who earned a knighthood in 1674.

This needs not another review but I want my cabinet in here to reflect my actual rum list.
Despite the cynical comments this has a fair attitude for a mainstream CM. Enjoyable spice balance and fullness. It's an under-proofed rum. Itβs simply too sticky with sugar. Stop with the sugar already. Lady Bligh spiced rum is much better, in my honest opinion.
^ no other explanation is needed, its a fact. dont waste your money on cheap rum its not worth it in the long run, just buy some private stock and call it a day.
This rum is popular with new drinkers because it is sweet and easy to drink when mixed. Not worth the price. In my opinion, there are much better choices in this price range but it is better than Bacardi.
Made for your party drinker, not worth the price. In my opinion not great for sipping. Better tasting from the frezzer. Good for beginners. Great in mixed drinks. Also good if you want to pretend to be a pirate for the night.
Its not special but its really not bad as a mixer.
Actually good, easy to drink and cheap price, nice choice for newbies, but watch the sugar though, it's contain way too much sugar and I don't think its good for your health.
For the "veteran", there're a lot more better choice for the prices, Cruzan for example, so unless you're new to Rum, you shouldn't buy Captain Morgan at all.
Definitely not one to drink neat, perfect for mixing with coke, the typical over the counter drink for beginners.
The perfect wingman for coke

If you enjoy rum and coke or possibly rum and 7 at cheap price point that is consumable.
