Plantation 2015 Single Cask El Salvador Pineau Des Charentes 8-Year

Nice, bit of natural sweetness. Would be an excellent sipper. Not overly complex but interesting.

A relatively lower priced single cask from Plantation ($60) that delivers more than I expected, with a top tier lighter vanilla cream, chocolate, oaky nose and a solid - if not overly complicated, sweet and spice finish. I appreciated but didn't really like the Cihuatan 8yr solera gran reserva from the same (only) Ingenio La Cabana El Salvadorian distillery, but this takes the best pat of that overly vanilla experience and expands it. Definitely worth the price.
