I don't generally prefer spiced rums but this one is quite drinkable. The flavors are good, generally smooth, with a nice finish.
Fun from beginning to end… it has funk, you get spices, it’s an all around great spiced rum.
Very interesting flavor that might go well in a tiki drink, but not neat.
Lots of spice maybe too much. Although I like Jamaican rums.
I can imagine all of the unique character of this rum disappearing in any rum drink; and I can imagine this rum improving the flavor of the drink. It has enough bite to be noticeable, and enough complexity to draw-out fruity or cola flavors so they area little brighter. On the other hand, it would seem to clash with the mintyness of a mojito. Beyond mixing, it makes a pretty good sipper. The finish is a bit astringent, but the rest of the flavors beg one to concentrate on them as the rum is sipped. I found myself poking around through the complex mix as it swirled across my tongue. It would not be ignored and just swallowed. I would buy this one.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

This is probably the first spiced rum I could actually sip on, I’m not sure if I’d want to on a regular basis… but at least I could if I wanted to.
It’s definitely a nice balance of traditional funk and spices, which aren’t overwhelming. I get a lot of vanilla finish, a little too much for me be likely nice when mixed.
It’s aged 3 yrs, which mellows it out nicely, a lot more than typical spiced rums. I think worth a taste if you want to try a “good” spiced rum, it’s not terrible for sure
