Very smooth taste, almost not like rum. But very big surprise. Now I see why this rum won so much prizes from blind tasting contests. Very very recommended

Color is dark gold, to me it taste little bit like smoke, something like that and I live it. The texture of drink is very smooth.

The exact name of the rum is Rhum Haute Couture De Ragan. That sounds very noble. Personally, I'd say it's a little answer to the Blue Mauritius Gold rum. There is also a Czech trace behind the creation of this Mauritian rum, namely the businessman Jiri Ragan. I didn't even know this rum until then, so I was quite curious. Information about this rum is scarce. It's more like marketing crap about Mauritian treasure, handmade and lots of international awards (from China and Germany). It is 40% Mauritian rum, handmade and distilled 3 times. There is no age or type of cask it was matured in.

Bottle: This is a very nice, square bottle made of thick glass - exactly in the style of "packaging sells". Only the bare bottle is sold.
Colour: Honey gold

Nose: It's sweet and delicate. There was vanilla, raisins, nuts, caramel, rum praline and cane sugar in the aroma.
Taste: It is very sweet, but not liqueur-like. It is also very smooth, although it does sting a little at first. The palate was again vanilla, marzipan, chocolate, caramel, dried nuts and a little bit of wood barrel.
Aftertaste: Short

Conclusion: This is a smooth and sweet rum without an exceptional flavour profile. I'd say this is exactly the type of rum where marketing wins over taste and quality. If you like Blue Mauritius Gold rum, you should try this one too. I myself have no desire to taste it again (even given the set price).
