This rumclub bottling is a blend of Jamaica, Trinidad, Barbados and Guyana. The rums are between 3 and 26 years old. The rum was bottled in a drinking strength of 48.9% alcohol with 0.6g sugar and without filtration in 224 50cl bottles.
On the nose, the rum is lively and fruity. The Jamaica and Barbados proportion is very distinct with tropical fruit, pineapple, vanilla and caramel. The whole thing is a bit rough but delicious. The alcohol is present, but does not interfere. With time comes more spice. On the palate, the rum is amazingly sweet and balanced. But alcohol is also present here. I get candied fruit, vanilla and caramel. Add more wood and toasted barrel. The rum is fruity and pleasing. The finish retains a fruity sweetness with more barrel influence.
This rum clearly belongs in the category of delicious easy sipping. I don't know what exactly the blend has to do with navy rum. The Jamaica and Barbados share is very present. The Guyana part only shines through a little. A fun rum that simply wants to please you. Only the price tag with around 90€ for 50cl is a bit annoying.

In derNaseist der Rum lebendig und fruchtig. Der Jamaika und Barbados Anteil ist sehr deutlich mit tropischer Frucht, Ananas, Vanille und Karamel. Das ganze ist etwas rau aber lecker. Der Alkohol ist präsent stört aber nicht. Mit der Zeit kommt mehr Würze. Am Gaume ist der Rum erstaunlich Süß und ausgewogen. Der Alkohol ist aber auch hier präsent. Ich bekomme kandierte Früchte, Vanille und Karamel. Dazu mehr Holz und getoastetes Fass. Der Rum ist fruchtig und gefällig. Der Abgang behält eine fruchtige Süße mit mehr Fasseinfluss.
Dieser Rum gehört eindeutig in die Kategorie lecker easy sipping. Was genau der Blend mit Navy Rum zu tun hat weiß ich nicht. Der Jamaika und Barbados Anteil ist sehr präsent. Der Guyana Anteil schimmert eher nur durch. Ein Spaß Rum der einfach gefallen wird. Nur das Preisschild mit knapp unter 90Euro für 50cl stört dann doch etwas.
