La Favorite 2019 La Digue Récolte

Boldly herbaceous. Wonderful agricol rum with a certain acidity at first. Lengthy powerful finish that makes you beg for more.

Perhaps not as refreshing as J Bally Blanc 50, but all the right notes to make it a solid agricole, perfect for mixing with a splash of coke and a squeeze of lime.
It is a little more heady and complex than J Bally Blanc 50, so a little more interesting, but I have awarded both rhums the same score.

Al naso è timido, si scovano la canna da zucchero, sentori vegetali e leggermente floreali(camomilla)/terrosi/agrumati.
Al palato è leggero, setoso e mantiene la timidezza iniziale, poi si apre a poco a poco su note leggermente pepate, altre terrose e floreali(fieno e camomilla) che si propagano anche nel delicato finale dove emerge una punta fresca e profumata di cetriolo(anice/medicinale). È estremamente rotondo, sembra avere 40°, ma ha meno carattere rispetto ad altri bianchi La Favorite. Nel bicchiere vuoto erba, terriccio, fiori.
