Tento blend se skládá celkem ze 4 rumů ze 4 zemí:
Guyana (Diamond SV - Coffey Still),
Jamajka (Hampden HGML - 1000/1100 g/hlpa esterů),
Martinik (Saint James agricole),
Panama (Varela Hermanos).
Po smíchání se nepřidávají žádné přísady - akorát rum z Guyany je obarven karamelem.

Aroma: Pikantní omáčka, opálené dřevo, pepř, tropické ovoce (banány), citrony, pomelo. Ozývá se i travnatost s náznakem dezinfekčnosti. Velmi zajímavá a komplexní vůně.
Chuť: Trpká, pepřová s travnatými tóny, lehounce esterová.
Dozvuk: Dřevo, pepř, na chvíli se mihne i jód, skořice a rozinky či fíky. Hořkne. Delší.

Tamosi se stává synonymem zajímavého rumového zážitku. Mix rumů několika zemí a dosti odlišných charakterů (říkal jsem si, co tam dělá martinická travnatost) však nablendovali na výbornou. Atributy každé země se přihlásí o slovo a spojují se ve velmi osobitý, ZAJÍMAVÝ a hlavně chutný zážitek. Za tu cenu parádní pití k dlouhodobému zkoumání. 8+/10.

The Tamosi Original Blend 1st Edition is a blend of four different rums. An SV Coffey Style from the Diamond Distillery - Guyana, an HGML from the Hampden Distillery - Jamaica, a Rhum Agricole from the St. James Distillery -Martinique and a rum from Panama from the Varela Hermanos Distillery. The rum was bottled with a drinking strength of 46% alcohol and is severely limited.

On the nose, the rum appears directly heavy and dark. Not much of the dilution is felt here. I discover leather, mocha, coffee, dark chocolate and spicy roasted aromas. But also fruit with plum and burnt sugar. In addition, some solvent. The whole thing is very well balanced. On the palate, the rum has a lot of wood influence. Roasted aromas, candied fruit, leather, wood with bitter substances, caramel, pepper and lots of spice. But also esters and a mineral note. The whole thing is creamy and becomes a little thinner with the same aromas on the finish. Wood, dark chocolate and esters.

A fascinating rum with absolutely great components in the blend. The Guyana influence is high. The Hampden nestles nicely and surprisingly does not dominate. The Agricole brings mineral notes. Panama is probably the neutral base. Very successful but unfortunately a bit too thin on the palate. The rum quickly loses power, even though it is so wonderfully complex and heavy on the start. The leather, mocha content is a bit too present for me. But the price performance is absolutely top.

Der Tamosi Original Blend 1. Edition ist ein Blend aus vier verschiedenen Rums. Einem SV Coffey Still aus der Diamond Distillerie Guyana, einem HGML aus der Hampden Distillerie Jamaika, einem Rhum Agricole aus der St. James Distillerie Martinique und einem Rum aus Panama von der Varela Hermanos Distillerie. Der Rum wurde mit einer Trinkstärke von 46% Alkohol abgefüllt und ist stark limitiert.

In de Nase wirkt der Rum direkt schwer und dunkel. Hier ist nicht viel von der Verdünnung zu spüren. Ich entdecke Leder, Mokka, Kaffee, dunkel Schokolade und würzige Röstaromen. Aber auch Frucht mit Pflaume und gebranntem Zucker. Dazu etwas Lösungsmittel. Das ganze ist sehr gur ausgewogen. Am Gaumen hat der Rum viel Holzeinfluss. Röstarmonen, kandierte Früchte, Leder, Holz mit Bitterstoffen, Karamel, Pfeffer und viel Würze. Aber auch Ester und eine mineralische Note. Das ganze ist cremig und wird zum Abgang etwas dünner mit dem gleichen Aromen. Holz, dunkle Schokolade und Ester.

Ein faszinierender Rum mit absolut tollen Komponenten im Blend. Der Guyana Einfluss ist groß. Der Hampden schmiegt sich schön mit ein und dominiert überraschend nicht. Der Agricole bringt mineralische Noten. Panama ist wahrscheinlich die neutrale Basis. Sehr gelungen aber leider etwas zu dünn. Der Rum verliert schnell an Power und da obwohl er so wunderbar komplex und schwer ist. Mir ist der Leder, Mokka Anteil etwas zu präsent. Aber Preis Leistung absolut top.
