Velho Barreiro Cachaca

Bought me some bottles in Spain just for making Caipirinhas.
It’s fruity, round and sweet with some hints of spices and cane.

Its surprises with a vegetable aroma and is no longer worth attention. Even for caipirinha, there are many better bottles.

Wish I was kidding but I made a single caipirinha with this, which I had to choke down, and woke up the next morning with a flue that took a week to shake. Rest went down the drain.

Tasted at Swaylos on 2-9-23. Pours clear. Strong grassy doughy aroma. Crazy strong in fact. Oily mouthfeel. A but petroleum. Not my fave flavor.
