Hampden Estate 2022 8 Marks Collection HGML

Nose: Similar to <>H, but a little less funky. The artificial peanut butter is present, maybe a bit more prominent, a tad of nail polish. Ethanol seems dialed back too for whatever reason. Still bright and fruity. Not sure if I could differentiate between the two in a blind nosing.

Taste: Like <>H, not as funky as you might suspect. Same fruitness, lightly sweet, with the peppery note. Interestingly, the bitter note has turned into a sour, but pleasant one. The artificial peanut butter has disappeared, and no other solventy flavors. There is nothing unpleasant here either. The relatively short finish is lightly floral with molasses as the final note.

Clear of color, caramel nuttiness on nose, note i like a bit of funk, Hampden the younger 5yr is in my top 5 of all rums I've tasted, but this is a different beast, its not just the funk it's this woody nuttiness that just throws everything off in the finish. Might be because it's in the 1000-1100 gr/HLPA

Posecena trava s lepidlem, ovoce, svezi ovoce. V chuti banany, hrusky, trosicku ananas. Dlouha prijemna dochut.
