Got this sample for free from RumX.
It’s a pot still Clarendon EMB distilled in 1995 whereafter it’s aged in an American oak barrel for 26 years, of which 23 years is in the tropics, before being bottled in just 111 bottles at 63,6%.
The aromas is fruity, spicy and very round.
In mouth and at palate it’s strong, quite alcoholic, spicy, fruity and woody with hints of menthol, banana and citrus.
The quite long finish is spicy and a little bitter with hints of oak, menthol and licorice.
Overall a great rum but with a little bit too much alcoholic taste.
