Al naso è intenso con agrumi, burro, frutta (melone/papaya) e tostatura.
Al palato è corposo con note vegetali e un po' terrose, si trovano dei maturati e spezie (pepe) ed ha anche un sentore lontano di carbonizzato. Interessante. Nel bicchiere vuoto formaggio stagionato/fermentati.
Tasted at Laka Lono 4/30/23 neat and as a Rum Rickey.
A clear rum, with an amazing nose - nice and bready.
The flavor starts hot then eases off to fresh mowed grass and dusty shoebox, in the best possible way.
Divine in a Rickey ❤️ the lime shines with this rum
Incredibly good agricole. Very thick mouthfeel, almost creamy, with intense fresh cane flavors. Love it.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Baie des Tresors - that sounds good. I like that rum before tasting because of his name :-).
An agricole from Martinique. White, clear, not aged, without cask influences :
Plein Soleil - would like to surprise you with 54 % ABV.
Very nice bottle, like a big perfume bottle. All in all a very good first impression.
Nose : nothing sharpness, very smooth, nothing burns or bites in the nose. The 54 % are not noticeable. Floral and fruity notes, of course sugar cane in front. A little lychee, banana, lime.
Very, very pleasant and similar to a good Cachaca.
Palate : okay, the 54 % are coming with power and with a little sharpness. Unfortunately the sharpness pushes the fruity notes into the background. They have no chance to develop. When the sharpness is gone, the fruit is also dead. Some undefined herbal notes stay in mouth.
Finish : long, warm, very intense and full of herbs
Conclusion : the best thing is the nose. For a white unaged rum with 54%, it is really surprisingly mild, smooth and tasty.
However, I prefer the barrel-aged rums because they simply offer more interesting flavors. Nevertheless, a must for every rum lover because you can experience the real origin without any barrel influences. For less than €40, it is definitely a clear recommendation.
Addition : I tried it with an ice cube (see the image). Mmmhhh. The palate is much better, because there is no sharpness any longer. I can taste now apricot and pear. Of course sugar cane and the bitterness of the lime is in the back. Try it !
