Rum Shark 2007 Foursquare 14-Year

Typický FS, v podstatě není co dodat. Chutná, i když se mi malinko zdá, že alkohol vyčnívá z těla o něco více než u jiných distributorů nebo u rumů plněných přímo v samotné destilerii FS.

Chocolate, butterscotch and caramel, vanilla and coffee in aroma; milk chocolate, butter, clove, smoked barrel; warming, spicy, raisins in tail.

notes of vanilla,. creamy, almost buttery complemented by burnt oak and spices Smooth finish, a really tiny feel of bitterness

Aroma: vanilla, wood, chocolate, coffee and I noticed something really like creamy aroma.

Taste:delicate sweetness, again wood with combination of chocolate and I noticed that creamy almost buttery taste, it was really new to me but very very good.

Overall: Another Rum Shark that I had chance to drink and this one was also very good. This rum has 61,6 % of alcohol but when I drank it, I did not feel it was that strong. Unfortunately this rum can not be bought normally, so you will have to find it at auctions and the price will be something around 200€. It is worth thath money? It is up to you but it is very good and very tasty rum.

Příjemné dřevo, ovoce, koření a to vše z lehka. Chuť je sladká s lehkým kořením a velmi příjemným kokosovým dojezdem. Alkohol štípne výrazně. Druhý srk již alkoholově fajn a ke kokosu se přidává i vanilka. Klasický Foursquare.

Foursquare Distillery is located on the southeastern tip of the island and its history is closely linked to the Seale name. The family has been making, blending and distributing rums for generations. Since 1993, Richard Seale has also joined the family business, continuing the tradition of high quality, authenticity and transparent product presentation, while remaining true to the motto "We do it Right" that proudly adorns the wall of the distillery's warehouse.

The distillery has state-of-the-art continuous and pot stills to produce a wide range of lighter and heavier rums, and all the resulting products are a blend of the two distillation methods. The distillery and its rums have won a number of international awards; since 2016, the distillery has been named "Rum Producer of the Year" six times in a row.

This single cask was distilled in 2007 and aged for 14 years in a used bourbon barrel. It was bottled in 2022 at 61.6% cask strength.
