Rum pochází z destilerie Beenleigh a zrál 11 let v Austrálii v sudech po bourbonu, 1 rok ve Francii v sudech po koňaku Ferrand a 4 měsíce v sudech po sherry Palo Cortado.
Aroma: Těžká vůně ovoce (banány, jablka), travnatost, zvláštní zatuchlost či nakyslost, minerálnost.
Chuť: Travnatá, hořknoucí, trpká. Docela pálivá.
Dozvuk: Hořké dřevo, závan sherry zatuchlosti a znovu hořkost. Delší.

Ochutnán vzorek
Porovnával jsem s Plantation Australia 2007 (13yo "ptačí série") a ten souboj vyhrál. Vliv sherry na okamžik znatelný pouze v dozvuku. Tato Austrálie mě ničím neohromila.
Aroma: honey and wood than I noticed fruit (some tropical and maybe apples or pears or both of them) and nuts.
Taste: wood in combination with nuts (almonds), than fruits (orange and cherrys) and the texture itself was really like oilly.
Overall: It was my first rum from this destination and I have to say I liked it. It kind reminded me rums from Trinidad (just a little) because of oilly texture and heavier arome at one point. Really liked combination of fruits (orange, pears and like I said maybe apples).
Na nose a v chuti ořechový olej, mandarinka. Chuť zaostává za vůní. V dochuti lehounce koňak. Chybí tomu větší komplexnost, přijde mi takový nijaký.

I do not like the dominant note at all, it tastes chemical and artificial to me. I might be the sherry finish that is to blame. Overall the rum has not a lot of character.
