C.A.C.D. is a pleasant Venezuelan 13-year-old dark rum from That Boutique-y Rum Company. It is a wonderful multi-column still rum that has been aged for 13 years and bottled at a high 60.1% alcohol content.

The label shows the hands of a passenger travelling on an airplane and seeing Mount Roraima through the window. When you taste this rum, you will feel a real whiff of tropical Venezuela. This is a limited edition of Batch 2, which means that only 411 units were produced!

60.1% smells of sweet molasses and a bit of rubbery butterscotch. Also that strong alcohol.
On the tongue it’s smokey, sweet and complex. Not a bad bite for 60% either. My god, it’s delicious.
There’s a lot going on and it kind of reminds me of bourbon. A sweet bourbon.
Tongue: smokey and sweet, not much of the butterscotch that was on the nose. Hard to overcome the high percentage to find the first bit of smokey flavour. Not too shabby.
