Sweet, thick, balanced blend of dark fruits and oak, nothing really standing out.
Received this as a gift and was a bit apprehensive by the name. After looking into the brand and tasting the rum it’s great! Dark, sweet and reminds me a bit of a bourbon.
Long time bourbon drinker here and all I have to say is WOW, I’ve been missing out on this one. Definitely some oak, a bit of smoke and a tad of coconut for me. The viscosity is fantastic. A little bit of heat with a long spicy finish that’s not too harsh. A nice warm Barbadian hug!!

EN:
the mccoy range is very close to the whiskey style, but if it were whiskey it would be in the upper range).
close to the 5-year-old with pronounced aromas of caramel and vanilla and with a strong hit of alcohol.but it feels older) more finished, more rounded
there seem to be some tropical fruits in the background that betray its origin of Barbadian rum.
Good rum, much better chilled with an ice cube to break the surface, but take the cube out or drink quickly as not to water it down.
Barbados rums are very good and this one is not far behind
Very good rum. Would recommend it to all with just some ice.
Mature tropical fruits, demerara sugar, oak and baking spices
"The Real McCoy 12-Year rum review by a Mountain of Crushed Ice"
Has some very Bourbon like sweet/sour like notes.
"It is rich, intense and quite spicy. Very oaky yet not overly dry."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Vanilla, oak, orange and egg nog in aroma; vanilla, caramel, berries, pepper and smoky end of the body; lasting mild tail.
