Brugal Añejo rum

Brugal Añejo

Dominican Republic | Gold | 40% ABV

Brugal Anejo rum is a blend of rums aged 3 to 5 years in used American white Oak barrels that previously held whiskey and bourbon.

The rum is produced in the Dominican Republic by Brugal & Co., a company that was founded in the late 1800s by the Spaniard Andrés Brugal Montaner. Today, the Brugal rum company remains largely in the control of Montaner's direct descendants.

This will light a fire in your belly, and not necessarily in a good way. It's harsh, somewhat severe. Burnt sugar and charcoal. I suppose in a pinch it'll scratch the itch, but throw it in a glass of Coca-Cola with a splash of lime and you're in business.

Nothing special. Usual ron for cheap party occasions. I tasted it on the trip to Saona island in Dominican Republic. Mixed with cola on the white sand beach. It's good and the sun is shining, Carribean.

Mi ron estándar. Del lado dulce pero no empalaga. Fácil de encontrar en todos sitios y precio bajo.

I think this is a decent Rum for the money. Not really a great sipper, but a good choice for mixing a Mai Tai.

Doesn't stand as a drink of its own. Only good for mixing.

Cocktails only and you can find better for the price.

Only for mixing, if try sipping you will be disappointment with aftertaste and strong filling of alcohol.

Cheap enough to not burn a hole in your pocket. Good enough to pour in on any random Tuesday night.

If it costs as much as Bacardi or Havana Club it would be much better mixer option. Not very expressive, but it is a bit round and not very alcoholic. Nice option for rum and coke for about 40 zł (ca. 9 dollars/euro).

Good to drink with a coke but too strong to drink alone.
