Dominican Republic | Gold | 40% ABV
Brugal Anejo rum is a blend of rums aged 3 to 5 years in used American white Oak barrels that previously held whiskey and bourbon.
The rum is produced in the Dominican Republic by Brugal & Co., a company that was founded in the late 1800s by the Spaniard Andrés Brugal Montaner. Today, the Brugal rum company remains largely in the control of Montaner's direct descendants.

very good sipper, not sweet as Matusalem Extra Anejo
Not the easiest of rum tastes, but awarding in the aftertaste
Even when used in a long drink (Coke, Ginger Beer) this Rum remains harsh on the palete. Can't recommend it I'm afraid
Took the tour in pourto plata not impresed buy the tour rush you through to buy ... now to the rum drcent aroma decent body best fo mixing with cola or fruity drinks
A solid rum with no surprises. For special events I certainly take another one.
This is an expensive rum and the taste confirms it. Really its an ok rum, better than the other cheap rums. My dad bought a 1L bottle so we wont waste it. I think it make a pretty good Mai Tai or Rum Punch.
Descent mixer, not enough character to stand alone but definitely a great addition to any cocktail.
Bien ajouter dessus de havana club et diplomatico. Ce rhum se démarque de ses concurrents
When there is a cocktail recipe that calls for Gold rum, i always use Brugal Anejo.
It places between the other cocktail gold rums and the reserves like Brugal XV, Havana 7, Bacardi 8.
Also in a bar/pub, using Brugal for mixology usually means attention on the bottle choice.
Better spirit makes a better cocktail.
Nice gentle notes of vanilla and banana with a slight nutty aroma and a light oaked aroma.
"The rum is fairly smooth, however this gives way to a very strong burn upon swallowing. There are notes of oak and tobacco throughout the tasting but they aren’t very hard hitting at all."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Enjoyable. Good choice for a standard rum 'n coke. Slightly harsh.
