Really enjoyed this, good sipping rum for a decent price. Found it to be a little harsh, but not enough to make it unenjoyable. Dried fruits and some cinnamon in the nose and a little less in taste. Maybe a hint of oak as well. It's a little drier than other rums I've tried, but not bad. Decent burn.
Rich flavour, quite complex and oaky. Lovely neat over ice but impactful enough to mix
Suchý ale jemný rum s nádechem dubového sudu se špetkou vanilky a lískových oříšků. Po spolknutí příjemně zahřeje. Vyzkoušejte!
It’s an atypical rum.
It’s soft and woody without being sweet.
Nose: you can smell wood, coconut and a touch of vanilla, sweet spices.
Palate: the attack is toasted and woody. We find the coconut vanilla and we discover the caramel.
It’s a sophisticated rum that I recommend. Aging in sherry casks brings interesting aromas. I find it a bit pricey though…
Nice reddish mahogany in color. I get oak, fruits, cigar? with some sweetness on the nose, maybe a little pear and vanilla too. Spices come strait to lips and whole palate, making mouth tingle a bit. Nice warm alcohol taste, with oakiness, leather and dried fruits. Slightly sweet, but closer to the dry side. Taste lingers quite long, turning to more on smoky side aftertaste. This has some layers. Revisiting the botlle after a while and now finding some latte-cheesecake in aftertaste, go figure.
The taste and the finish on this rum is complex with just the right amount of sweetness and dryness. It also can be sipped or used in some cocktails, like an El Presidente. This should be one of the rums in everybody's collection.
Un ron para disfrutar con un buen cigarro. Notas de chocolate, madera. Muy suave y delicado en paladar
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Not my first choice as a sipper though not bad. When in the region I learned how to make an old fashioned from it, and this Rum played a key role in converting me from Bourbon. I mix 3oz of Brugal, 1 tsp of St Elizabeth Allspice Dram, and 1/2 tsp of contrau (I prefer a large cube of ice).
