Really enjoyable. Stone fruit, raisin, sherry...sweet without being cloying, drinks way below its ABV. Sad it's a Whiskey Exchange exclusive as I would love to get my hands on another bottle.
Foursquare have made so much great rum in the ECS range but this isn’t one of them, a little bland, and not as sherry influenced as Hereditas or Empery. Not necessarily a bad thing but without the sherry influence it doesn’t have as much going on as many of the prior releases. At £87 it’s not a must have.
This is a Private Cask Selection rum.
Typically Foursquare, but half the casks are sherry, giving it a spicy, slightly sweet vibe, along with the usual dark brown sugar.
Smell is soft, perhaps a little more column still in the blend.
Taste is all you would expect from Foursquare, with the sherry cask addition. Not massively complex, but very enjoyable. Long finish.
Not perhaps as interesting as Indelible, or as complete as 2009, this is still great rum. Probably overpriced at £87 but if you like Foursquare, I imagine you'll like this.

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Dark, burnt fruit aroma, slight alcohol burn to the nose, taste is toffee, hint of pepper, hint of banana, caramel, touch of aniseed. Long lasting warning finish
