This is my first "Cane Juice"-rum. On the nose this has an aroma of grass, ethanol, olive brine and a bit of black pepper. Interesting! When i drink it neat, i can taste the grass, pepper and not so much the olive brine. Slight ethanol burn in the aftertaste. It is strong, but good! No sugarcandy, vanilla etc. Just the raw stuff, directly from the cane. It wakes you up and fucks you up in a good way. Using it in cocktails turned out to be a "trial and error" scenario. It was absolutely wonderful with fresh juice and fresh citrusfruits. It was not so good with prefabricated sodas and supermarket juices. My wife thought this was the best of all the rums that I have purchased.
