Denne rom er smagt til Whisky messe 2022 i Kolding.

7,2:The first nose offers floral flights of geranium, then other herbaceous notes. Alcohol is present in these first moments, the rum gives an impression of youth. Then vanilla and almond soften everything, before a raw and old woodiness gives more obvious signs of maturity. Vanilla sits in the middle of this nose, it gains momentum to give a feeling of soft and sweet rum. This very sweet side even extends to confectionery, with the soft powdered strawberry marshmallows.
With a little aeration, the aromatic profile becomes fruitier, with strawberry and raspberry in the form of a delicious syrup. Vanilla always flavors this rather delicate candy. Cinnamon and caramel add complexity and variety, with a darker side lifted by the power of the alcohol surfacing. The notes given by aging then emerge more clearly: toasted bread, light maple syrup, mocha and cocoa mix for a lovely presence.
7,2:In the mouth, it is logically the vanilla that wraps around the taste buds first, followed by a very sweet fruit syrup. The wood and cinnamon will cause the texture to become tenser and drier, the coffee also plays a part in this. Then it’s a melting milk chocolate that takes us straight to the finale.
7:This finish lets all the sweetness of the vanilla blossom, some very sweet spices then settle on the palate.

Colour, smell, taste. One of my favorite rums so far!

So this is an unexpected surprise. The alleged successor to the Esclavo rums, and to my great delight, tastes better than Esclavo XO. For 900 CZK, perhaps the best rum in terms of taste/price ratio. During the second bottle I was convinced that this is currently the best I have discovered in rums...

Tak tohle je nečekané překvapení. Údajný nástupce Esclavo rumů, a k mé velké radosti mi chutná víc, než Esclavo XO. Za 900kč snad nejlepší rum v poměru chuť/cena. Během pití druhé láhve jsem se ujistil v tom, že je to momentálně to nejlepší, co jsem v rumech objevil...
