So did they finally lose anise taste in their top of the line 150€ product? The answer is no, but the nose is at least normal. Only for hardcore fans of Riise who want to finance further R&D into aniseed technology.

Nádherná láhev a rozhodně zajímavá verze A.H. Riise. Nic méně je cena přemrštěná. Velmi se podobá levnější variantě A.H. Riise Non Plus Ultra Ambre dor Excellence. Karamelová sladkost s mandarinkovými tóny.

I was gifted a bottle of rum by my beloved wife. Knowing my preference for sweeter flavors, she chose this particular brand and I must say, I was not disappointed. The taste of the rum was very mature and complex with notes of caramel, vanilla, and spice, all blending together perfectly. The smoothness of the drink was so exquisite that it could rival the softness of a Persian cat's fur. Overall, I highly recommend this rum to anyone who enjoys a rich and flavorful spirit.

8,5:The nose immediately gives us the brand's very traditional oily-orange character, but with a hint of finely spiced herbal notes that further refresh the whole. The orange then leans towards yellow lemon, or rather a syrup made from its juice.
Aeration brings a more powdery, gently spicy profile, with the softness of an orange cookie with powdered sugar. Various spices continue to evoke pastry, and we even go so far as to imagine a buttery cookie dough.
7,8:The palate is less round than expected, but of course remains very sweet. The orange peel is amply candied and encrusted with sweet spices such as cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg. A hint of licorice indicates molasses, then dilutes into lemon syrup.
8:The finish is long, thanks to the citrus peels that imprint their oily bitterness on the palate.

Not for everyone, but if you like sweeter rums you will love it!

Very Nice, if you like the sweet stuff. From my point of view not the best rom, Maybe one one of the best A. H. Riise rum.

Jó és rossz hír is egyben, hogy a felső kategóriában sem hazudtolják meg magukat. Aki szereti ezt az ánizsos ízvilágot, annak ez is tetszeni fog. Nálam ez az elmegy kategória. Ennyi pénzért nem túl jó vétel. Helyette érdemesebb lehet a Non Plus Ultra Black Edition-re beruházni a Riise rajongóknak.
